BarCampNorthEast3 Tickets

We will be releasing the main round to tickets this evening. Although we do expect this year’s event to sell out we honestly don’t expect the tickets to go in the first few days. Keep an eye on the blog and our Twitter stream for more information.

We will also be giving a quick introduction to BarCampNorthEast at tonight’s Super Mondays event. The event was full, but there have been 4 tickets handed back if you desperately want to come.

Come and visit our venue

If you would like to came and see the Life Lab, part of the space we ill be using for BarCampNorthEast3, then when not come along to Dorkbot NCL this Wednesday 20th January 2010. There are three great guest speakers coming along and I am looking froward to it. More details about the event is on the Centre for Life web site and a map to the Life Lab entrance is online at http://tinyurl.com/ljwfoo.

BarCampNorthEast3

Some good news. We can confirm thatBarCampNorthEast3 will happen in the first half of 2010, it will be in an amazing venue in the centre of Newcastle, and will be a 2 day event with an overnight.  More details will be announced when we can confirm the date.

Room names

You know how you think everything in hand but then you remember something that you forgot about. Well we have just remembered no final decision was made on the room names. We agreed that famous Romans would be cool but never decided which ones. Have you any suggestions or preferences? Our list of suggestions is below.

  • Alban
  • Augustus
  • Caesar
  • Claudius
  • Constantine
  • Hadrian
  • Justinian
  • Marius
  • Nero
  • Trajan
We have four rooms and use of the bar.

We have more tickets

With less that a week to go we still have some tickets available. If you know someone who might be interested in coming then please persuade them to come. If you have a blog then please blog that you are going.

If you are interested in coming but are not certain it is for you then please come along anyway. There are not locks on the doors and you are free to leave at any point. I recommend coming along on the Saturday to see how things go. If it is not for you then just leave, there will be not hard feelings.

Venue confirmed

Following the almost unanimous feedback we have decided to stick with our current venue and find somewhere else to stay overnight. So registration will open at 10am in the Centurion as originally advertised. Just head in to the bar and look for the regitration desk at the far end.

We are working on the place to bed down at the moment and will report back as soon as we can.
